I bounced off from it pretty quickly, but once I got the chance to play it I found it to be a really intriguing change of pace. A bit later they released Mark of the Ninja, also in the 2D realm but featuring nothing but stealth sequences, with only environmental damage and executions (if you were hidden) at your disposal. I remember Shank dearly, Klei’s take on the beat ’em up genre that had you combining attacks with chainsaws, guns, knives, and much more either solo or in co-op play. And if you’re not interested in this tech stuff, you’ll be able to play as Dosan in an additional story level and enjoy developer commentary nodes throughout the original game. This includes cutscenes, characters and background art, the former including reanimated scenes as well, all wrapped with a new 5.1 audio.
